Soon we discovered that they are much more knowledgeable and responsive compared to agencies in Europe.

Our contact was Emmelyn, who answered very competently and friendly our mails within hours. She helped us to organize a perfect trip in following lodges: Saguni Safari, Jumbo Junction, Camp Savuti, Cresta Resort and Insika Lodge. Each of them is in a different part of Botswana (with different animals and vegetation to observe). Insika is in Victoria Falls. All lodges offered very comfortable accommodation, perfect staff and guides, very good food. We took small planes to travel between lodges in order to avoid driving on bumpy roads.

Upon our arrival into Maun we felt completely taken care of, accommodation, tours, customer service & genuine people like we have not experienced before.

We knew what we wanted to see in Botswana - but didn't know where to begin. We knew we didn't want to be part of a "stock standard" tour so stepped outside of our comfort zone and trusted a local Botswana company to make our dreams come true. We are thrilled we did.

Makgadikgadi Pans, Planet Baobab, Chobe National Park and Elephant Valley Lodge all delivered the sights and experiences we were hoping for. Well above our expectations and arranged perfectly by Savanna Safaris & Tours.

The standout winner of our Botswana adventure was the mobile safari, arranged and staffed by Savanna Safari & Tours and their staff. Khwai and Moremi in the Okavango Delta delivered wildlife and natural, raw beauty like we could not have imagined.

Fred's organisational skills in pulling the camp together was a testimony to his experience. Fred's G&T's were the best in the whole of Botswana - perhaps it was the campfire that made them so special!

Our guide Charles had an ability to find the wildlife that provided the perfect safari experience. His knowledge and genuine love of his job and the Okavango Delta in our opinion makes him, surely, the best guide. These Australian's enjoyed his easy going nature and cheeky love of a good joke.

The camp staff always made us feel special, taking such great care of us in what definitely was luxury camping. We will forever now compare all food we have against Kagee's food - what an amazing chef she was. We are still in awe of what she prepared for us each day with the camp facilities on hand. Edna was our lovely waitress and we appreciated her early morning coffee, toast and hot drinks. She made us feel welcome, comfortable and happy.

Wildlife viewing beyond our wildest dreams  - My partner and I have recently returned from an amazing trip to Botswana delivered by Savanna Safaris. It's our first visit to Botswana but not our first safari. ... read more This safari holiday is by far the best we have ever experienced. Emmelyn organised the trip for us and was highly organised and responsive to all enquiries both before and during the trip. Any little problems we had during the trip were dealt with efficiently and promptly via Whatsapp.

All the locations, lodges and camps were wonderful in their own way including Shongwe Lookout in Zimbabwe, Chobe Bush Lodge, and Camp Savuti, but the most memorable was the private bush camping in Kwai and Moremi. Everywhere we went the quality of the game viewing was incredible, but Kwai and Moremi went to another level. Also we were quite unprepared for the experience of having a team of staff to look after just the two of us so we felt like royalty! The team from Prince Safari who provided the camping, were amazing including Edna (housekeeper/waiter and everything else) and Letts (our private chef). Special thanks must go to Vincent our guide and driver who was exceptional in his tracking skills and looking after our every need whilst out on game drives. Vincent took us to see awesome wildlife and nothing was too much trouble. The most amazing experience in Moremi, which went beyond our wildest dreams, was sitting for a few hours watching first a male leopard with it's kill, then a female trying to join it, and finally a baby appearing out of the bush. It brought tears to my eye and I still can't quite believe I was there to see that drama unfold. I felt like David Attenborough from the BBC.

Our final destination on the trip was 3 nights in Camp Savuti, which are tented suites so you feel like you are camping but with all the luxury of a lodge. I wanted the clock to stop so the experience would go on forever. The staff were so welcoming, kind, and attentive to every need - thank you Mercy, Vanessa and Tyro ( the only names I can remember). Our guide and driver here was Lecha (sorry if I have spelt that wrong). He was so kind and generous to our requests. We spent way more time out on game drives than we were expecting since we were the only guests to start with. Lecha introduced us to the 2 prides of lion who dominate the area, and we had them sitting by our vehicle close enough to touch them. One evening we heard them roaring next to our room and saw the footprints in the sand when we got up.

Sadly the trip did have to end but we have brilliant memories. If you choose Savannah for your safari, you will not be disappointed. The only minor point I would feedback on is that a little more detail would have helped us prepare for the 6 night camping in the wilderness. We did not realise there would be no power at all during that part of the trip so my partner's phone died on the first day and he couldn't take any photos. Just a note in the pre trip contract would have been so helpful as we could have taken a spare battery pack. Thankfully I had one fully charged so my phone just about lasted for 6 nights. Also we didn't realise private camp meant it would be just the two of us with an entourage of staff. We felt slightly uncomfortable at first. But the advantage of being just the two of us and having the camp staff to ourselves, soon outweighed any initial feelings of discomfort. Perhaps more experienced travellers would have known what to expect.

If you love game viewing and wildlife, and warm and friendly people, delicious food, then go to Botswana. If you choose Savanna they will organise a great holiday for you. Thank you Savanna and all the lodges, safari providers and staff, and the lovely people of Botswana.

We contacted her by email from Hawaii less than 3 weeks before getting on a plane. We knew nothing. We placed our faith in her based upon all of the other reviews and we were totally happy with the entire trip. All the lodges were excellent and we always had a warm and very friendly welcome that made us feel at home. We are vegan, and we had no problems, all the lodges were aware about our food and did their best concerning our limitations. The flights from one place to the next work perfectly. Emmelyn made all the arrangements perfectly, so we had no problem. The Game drives were great, we could see lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, jackals, hippos, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, kudus, red lechwe, impalas, zebras and many types of birds. Our journey started at the Chobe River Front and continued to Savuti, Moremi, and Khwai. The incredible experience in the mobile tented camp went beyond our expectations. Spacious and comfortable tent, attentive staff always available for any need, a great chef who prepared unforgettable lunches and dinners, and our housekeeper who woke us up every morning at 5:30, prepared the tent, and ensured hot water was always ready for the shower. It couldn’t have gone better! Even when we had a big problem with our luggage upon arrival, Emmelyn immediately assisted us and solved the problem. Without her, we would have never managed. This trip was the gift for our 20th wedding anniversary. Spending it in a magnificent country with special people was a dream. A special note for Willie, the guide, who did everything to get us the best photos as we are amateur photographers. Journey of our life  - That was the most amazing holidays we have ever done! We are extremely happy with organisation, communication and logistics during the journey. In all locations we felt welcomed, taken care of, we had the most amazing meals, conditions in the hotels and the camp were out of expectations. We could never imagine better treatment.

I was pregnant 4 months while travelling to Botswana. Stuff made sure that I have everything I need, I drink plenty of water and eat healthy. During camping, we were positively surprised how excellent service was. We really miss local dishes that were prepared by K&J. I attached the pictures of it. Whenever we needed, there was access to hot shower, always snacks were ready for us, tent was cleaned every day with supply of the amenities.

My husband had celebrated his birthday during this trip. The stuff made us huge surprise, they sang and the Chef K&J baked a delicious cake. My husband felt like 'at home'. That was really memorable moment.

Our guide, Willie made sure that we have the best experience with wild animals ever. He had extremely good knowledge about it and he was able to trace lions, leopards and other animals. We would choose him again for the next trip.

The rest of the team and Edna, included mechanic that made us feel really safe during this trip.

Once again, I really recommend Savanna Safaris and Tours. We hope that we will be back soon with the same stuff.
